MLB Betting – Remaining Four Teams Make World Series Highly Unpredictable

How quickly things can change in the game of baseball. Just a couple of days ago it seemed liked the Milwaukee Brewers couldn’t win a playoff game on the road, like the Detroit Tigers were down for the count, and like the Texas Rangers were destined to become the first team in MLB history to declare for bankruptcy and reach the World Series in the same season. All that is up in the air right now as the respective championship series’ wind down this weekend, with four teams fighting for their chance to win it all in 2011.

By earning that crucial sports betting win in St. Louis on Thursday, the Brewers guaranteed that the NLCS ends in Milwaukee, where the team led the majors in wins this season. If the series goes to a decisive seventh game then it will be a rematch between Chris Carpenter and Yovanni Gallardo, but time will tell if it gets there. Meanwhile in the ALCS, the Tigers took the first step in battling back against Texas with Justin Verlander getting the win on Thursday, but they now face consecutive elimination games on the road. The Rangers and Brewers have to be the pay per head favorites to reach the World Series with both teams earning the chance to move on at home with two games left in their own building, but as has been the case this potseason, anything can happen and there is no telling how things will play out.
